There is so much to love about MicroBio wines, growing organically in Castilla y Léon, Spain. The fifth-generation winemaker tends to pre-phylloxera Verdejo vines passed from father to son, with the responsibility and commitment to continually improve the land.
Impressive in its own right, yet what blew us away was Ismael's command of one singular grape. In a region known for mass produced Verdejo, Ismael manages to create wildly different, equally expressive cuvées from just one varietal.
