Calanchi red wine comes from Cantina Indigeno's vineyard in Atri, close to Teramo, which grows in front of the sea at 500 meters high altitude. Made from 15 year-old vines, Calanchi is named after the type of soil in Abruzzo that translates to Argilo Calcaire. Calanchi is Indigeno's signature red wine, with two weeks carbonic maceration and then six months in fibreglass. Medium to full bodied; with a fruit forward aromatic and medium acidity.
All our natural wines are low intervention, unfiltered, without any additives, sugars or sulphites. Created from grapes cultivated using organic or biodynamic farming.
